Biotech Act II – A vital Act for biomanufacturing in Europe

FMTE is among 44 co-signatories of a joint industry position calling for a strong and ambitious Biotech Act II - a critical opportunity to reinforce Europe’s competitiveness, resilience and innovation capacity.

As providers of advanced food manufacturing technologies and equipment, FMTE members are critical enablers of Europe’s food biotech sector. The Act presents a unique opportunity to unlock innovation, scale infrastructure, and strengthen Europe’s competitiveness in more sustainable food production.

To succeed, the Biotech Act II must bridge innovation and deployment — creating the right conditions for biomanufacturing to move from pilot projects to full industrial scale, across the EU.
